This Privacy Policy explains how Lendigator ("Lendigator," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, submit a funding request, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services"). It applies to business owners and authorized representatives in the United States and Canada. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
Who We Are & Scope
Lendigator helps small and medium-sized businesses explore and secure commercial financing. We operate as Lendigator. This Policy covers information handled through our website, lead and application forms, email and SMS communications, and our client portal.
This Policy does not cover the privacy practices of independent third parties — such as lenders, capital partners, or service providers — who maintain their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies before sharing information directly with them.
Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways:
a. Information you provide to us
- Business details — legal and operating name, business structure, industry, time in business, location, and business identifiers.
- Contact and identity details — your name, role, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- Financial information — estimated monthly or annual revenue, requested funding amount and use, bank or processing statements, and other documents you choose to submit during an application.
b. Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, referring URLs, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Cookies & Tracking below.
c. Information from third parties
- Lending and capital partners — approval status, offer details, and funding outcomes.
- Credit and verification providers — business and personal credit information obtained with your authorization (see Credit Checks & Inquiries).
- Data and marketing providers — where permitted by law, business contact details used to reach prospective clients.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Evaluate your funding request and match your business with appropriate financing options.
- Submit your information to lending and capital partners on your behalf, with your authorization.
- Communicate with you about your request, offers, documents, and account.
- Send marketing and educational communications you have consented to receive (see Marketing & Your Choices).
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Services.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, anti-fraud, and recordkeeping obligations.
Credit Checks & Inquiries
Lendigator does not perform a credit check to match you with funding options; a soft or hard inquiry may be performed later by a third-party lender, with your authorization. A soft inquiry does not affect your credit score and is not visible to other lenders; a hard inquiry, which may affect your score, only occurs at the offer or underwriting stage.
By submitting an application, you authorize Lendigator and its lending and capital partners to obtain business and, where applicable, personal credit information relevant to evaluating your request.
Marketing Communications & Your Choices
With your consent, we may send you emails, text messages, and other communications about funding, offers, and educational content.
- Email — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, consistent with CAN-SPAM (US) and CASL (Canada).
- Text/SMS — message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of obtaining funding.
- Canadian recipients — we send commercial electronic messages only where we have your consent or another lawful basis under CASL, and we identify ourselves and provide an unsubscribe mechanism in each message.
Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional or service messages related to a request you have submitted.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand how our pages are used.
These technologies generally fall into a few categories: essential cookies that make the site work; analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that help us measure performance and improve our pages; and advertising pixels from platforms we use to reach business owners (for example, the Meta pixel). Where required by law, we display a cookie/consent banner and honor recognized opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC).
You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of certain advertising cookies through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (US) or the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site functions.
Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and the nature of your interaction with us. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any portal login credentials confidential.
Your Privacy Rights — Canada
If you are in Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws (including, where relevant, Quebec's Law 25) give you rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Withdraw consent to certain uses, subject to legal or contractual limits.
- Ask questions or raise concerns about our handling of your information.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Contact Us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial regulator.
Your Privacy Rights — United States
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws in states including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah. These may include the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — note that we do not sell your personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
To submit a request, contact us using the details in Contact Us. We will verify your request before responding and will not charge a fee except as permitted by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for business owners and authorized representatives who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Visiting a linked site is at your own discretion, and that site's privacy policy will govern your interaction with it.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
Because we serve businesses in both the United States and Canada, your information may be processed, stored, or accessed in either country and by service providers operating in other jurisdictions. Where information crosses borders, we take steps intended to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
